Making good coffee isn’t easy!
Purchased a gaggia baby on eBay and been working on the barista training. It’s not easy to pull that perfect shot that tastes as sweet as the freshly ground beans smell… So far my shots seem a bit watery…. I have a new tamper but think it might be the grind isn’t quite fine enough?

iflicks - sorts your movies in itunes for you

So for the last couple of years I’ve been trying to sort out my media centre, tried a few things such as plex based on XBMC but in the end have reverted to converting all my movies into MP4 format and integrating with all my other media in itunes. Problem is you are then faced with the problem of getting all the titles genres etc organised which is a complete nightmare. Must have spent weeks worth of time converting and labelling, knowing that a better way must be available to do this in an automated way…. GOOD NEWS…….

iflicks - goes into imdb/tvdb and pulls out cover art, meta tags, everything for you. It is amazing….. still needs a little bit of manual curation as you would expect, but it is great and now my tv shows and movies look beautiful in itunes and on my ipad…

Quick update - BE CAREFUL

So about a month later after thinking i had successfully transferred and converted all my media into itunes using iflicks i recklessly deleted what i thought were duplicate files…… my stupid fault, hadnt completely understood what it meant when it said “reference file” - i referenced many movies and series and then deleted the original. All that was in itunes was a 2meg reference file where once a 750 movies had been….. gutted. So just a quick caution to be careful.

I liked it a lot, thought it achieved what it was trying to do very well, as long as you take it for what it is! - really good fun

Cloverfield follows five New Yorkers from the perspective of a hand-held video camera. The movie is exactly the length of a DV Tape and a sub-plot is established by showing bits and pieces of video previously recorded on the tape that is being recorded over. The movie starts as a monster of unknown origin destroys a building. As they go to investigate, parts of the building and the head of the Statue of Liberty come raining down. The movie follows their adventure trying to escape and save a friend, a love interest of the main character
